We wanted to clarify statements on Paschall and since those who emailed us did not leave a way for us to respond it left us with posting on here.
First, we want to make it clear that we have not talked to Paschall and don't know other than what we saw on television when he had the altercation that got him suspended. Our comments were meant to point out that his incident looked bad on television and that the conference suspending him made it look like it was his fault and none of the blame should be put on the UNI player. NFL teams are going to question it and want to get down to the bottom of it. Even if something is not the fault of a small school player it is detrimental to their stock to have any off field incident.
Players who have issues need to come clean with them and make sure the record is set straight as teams start to build their draft boards and media outlets begin to dig. We wish Paschall the best and have had him on or near the draft board since mid-season so we do believe he has talent. His slower than expected 40 and the fact that there are likely questions about his suspension are a big reason why we think he could fall but if teams believe it was truly not his fault and he can improve his 40 time we have no reason to believe he won't mid a mid-late round selection.
We would love the opportunity to do a Q&A with Paschall and talk about his career, the East-West Shrine Game, Combine, and have him shed some light on this incident. If someone has contact with Paschall please email us a way to reach you or a way to get in contact with Paschall.
